New York, 2025 , Produced by Soluble dans l´Air, coproduced by Albertine Fund for Jazz and New Music, Harvest Works Residency, NYU studios.
The encounter between James Brandon Lewis and Floy Krouchi around their practices blend in an original mix of electroacoustic music, jazz / free jazz, and contemporary music . Both great improvisors, they have researched together their unique sound and composition principles based on molecular biology (Molecular Systematic Music) and Space / Time / Vibrations of the FKBass. James BRANDON LEWIS also plays the sopranino and keys for this project, (in addition to the tenor saxophone) adding rich hi-frequencies and colors to his harmonic constructions. Lewis and Krouchi have created a musical piece composed of several movements, that is now being edited, and will be mixed by Mark Bingham, for a release in the beginning of 2026, followed by a tour in Europe.
Harvestworks have been hosting the two musicians for ten days in their studios as part of their annual artist residencies.
Michael Schumacher organized a final two days session in the NYU studio at Paulson’s building, with a group of students assisting Mark Bingham.
